Copper-binding tripeptide complex (Gly-His-Lys : Cu²⁺)

Mechanism of action

Forms a high-affinity complex with Cu(II) and acts as a copper delivery ligand to cells. Transcriptomic studies report modulation of over 4,000 human genes, including resetting of collagen, elastin, decorin and metalloproteinase inhibitor (TIMP) expression, plus antioxidant and anti-inflammatory gene programs.
