BPC-157 and TB-500 research blend.
Research profile
Classification
Synthetic pentadecapeptide / actin-binding peptide co-formulation
Mechanism of action
Combines BPC-157, a partial sequence of human gastric juice protein BPC that upregulates VEGFR2–Akt–eNOS signaling and modulates the nitric oxide system, with TB-500 (Tβ4 fragment Ac-SDKP), which sequesters G-actin and promotes cytoskeletal remodeling. In co-administration models the two are studied for additive effects on angiogenesis and fibroblast migration.
Investigated research applications
- Composite models of tendon, ligament and muscle injury repair kinetics
- Angiogenic response and capillary density quantification in ischemic tissue
- Fibroblast and endothelial cell migration assays (scratch/Boyden chamber)
- Inflammatory cytokine modulation (TNF-α, IL-6) in tissue injury models
Commonly reported assay endpoints
Tensile strength recoveryCD31+ vessel densityCollagen I/III ratio
